Product Description

1. It is used as a flame retardant for various resins, synthetic rubbers, canvas, papers, coatings, etc., and as a catalyst for the petrochemical industry and synthetic fibers. It is used to manufacture mordants and opacifiers, and is a raw material for synthesizing antimony salts. In the enamel industry, it is used as an additive to increase the opacity and surface gloss of the enamel. In the glass industry, it is used as a decolorizer instead of arsenous acid. It is also applied in the fields of medicine, metallurgy, national defense industry, etc.
2. Antimony trioxide belongs to an additive flame retardant and is often used in combination with other flame retardants and smoke suppressants, and a synergistic effect can be produced among various components. In the initial stage of combustion, antimony trioxide first melts to form a protective film on the surface of the material to isolate the air. Through the internal endothermic reaction, the combustion temperature is reduced. In a high-temperature state, antimony trioxide is vaporized, diluting the oxygen concentration in the air, thus playing a flame-retardant role.
3. It is a commonly used polycondensation catalyst, and the dosage is about 0.03% in the polycondensation of ethylene glycol terephthalate. It is also used as a flame retardant for various resins, synthetic rubber canvas, papers, coatings, etc. Antimony trioxide is also an excellent covering agent and is used as a white paint pigment. It is used to manufacture mordants, opacifiers, and is also a raw material for synthesizing antimony salts. In the glass industry, it is used as a decolorizer instead of arsenous acid, etc.
4. It is used in fireproof coatings, pigments, the enamel and glass industries, and for the preparation of potassium antimonyl tartrate. It is also used as a mordant.
5. Antimony trioxide is one of the earliest applied flame retardants, suitable for epoxy resins, polyurethanes, polystyrenes, polyvinyl chlorides, polyesters, etc. When used alone, its flame-retardant effect is low, but when used in combination with halides, there is a good synergistic effect, and the flame-retardant effect is significantly improved.
