Properties

• Appearance: Reddish-brown transparent liquid with uniform color.
• Density: At 20°C, the density generally ranges from 1.24 to 1.44 g/cm³.
• pH value: The pH value of a 1% aqueous solution is between 7.0 and 9.0; the pH value of the stock solution is generally between 6.0 and 8.0.
• Solubility: Highly soluble in water.
• Chemical stability: Good chemical stability, resistant to high temperatures, and not easy to hydrolyze.

• In the field of water treatment
  • Scale inhibition: It is an efficient scale inhibitor. It can react with metal ions such as calcium and magnesium to inhibit the formation of hard scales like carbonates, sulfates, and phosphates in water, preventing scaling in equipment such as cooling systems, boilers, heat exchangers, and pipelines, and improving the operation efficiency and service life of the equipment. In the oilfield water injection system, it can prevent the scaling and blockage of injection wells and pipelines. When used in geothermal water treatment, it can avoid the scaling of geothermal wells and pipelines, which affects the utilization of geothermal energy.
  • Corrosion inhibition: It can form a protective film on the metal surface to inhibit the corrosion and oxidation of metals and protect metal equipment.
  • Chelation: As an efficient chelating agent, it can form stable complexes with various heavy metal ions (such as lead, chromium, etc.), remove heavy metal ions in water, reduce environmental pollution, and improve water quality.
