Triclosan is a widely used antibacterial agent with the chemical name 5-chloro-2-isoanisole-4-phenol. It is mainly used to make antibacterial and antiviral cleaning products, such as hand sanitizers, soaps, etc. Triclosan has a broad-spectrum antibacterial effect and can effectively inhibit Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, pneumococcus and other bacteria.
