1.1,2-Benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one widely used biocide that inhibits bacterial growth and spoilage.
2.1,2-Benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one is toxic to both microbes and fungus. BIT is also marketed as a mixture with other isothiazolinone-based biocides.
3.Typical concentrations in products are 200-400 ppm depending on the application area and the combination with other biocides.
4.1,2-Benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one also is active against bacteria and fungi, especially in highly alkaline environments.
5.1,2-Benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one is used as a preservative in emulsion paints, varnishes, adhesives, washing agents, fuels and in the papermaking process.
6.In paints, 1,2-Benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one is commonly used as a mixture with methylisothiazolinone.
7.1,2-Benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one is also used to preserve a variety of water-based process liquids, including metal-working fluids, oil-field fluids and injection water, textile solutions, pesticide emulsions, and mineral slurries and coatings used in paper mills.
