Product Description and application:

PBTCA stands for Phosphonobutane tricarboxylic acid

• Function: PBTCA is primarily used to control and inhibit the formation of scale deposits and corrosion in water systems. It is effective in preventing the precipitation and deposition of inorganic scales such as calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate, and barium sulfate.

• Scale Inhibition: PBTCA works by forming a protective layer on metal surfaces, which inhibits the adhesion and growth of scale-forming materials. This helps to maintain the efficiency and performance of water systems, such as cooling towers, boilers, and heat exchangers.

• Corrosion Inhibition: PBTCA also acts as a corrosion inhibitor by forming a protective film on metal surfaces, which prevents the corrosion process. It helps to reduce the degradation of metal equipment and pipes caused by the corrosive action of water and other chemicals present in the system.
