Metrafenone has several times higher bactericidal activity than pyrimidine, and has no cross-resistance with those inhibitors with dimethylation and aniline-based pyrimidine fungicides. It is mainly used for preventing and treating powdery mildew of cereal crops and grapes, and has inhibitory activity on the main development stages of grape powdery mildew. Therefore, it has protective therapeutic effect on the disease and anti-spore formation properties.
