Main Uses:
1. In the field of photographic materials: it is the raw material for manufacturing photographic film, developer, fixer and so on. In the photographic process, silver halide (silver bromide is one of them) is sensitive to light, photochemical reaction occurs after exposure, forming latent image, and then after developing, fixing and other processing steps, so that the image appears.
2. Printing and dyeing industry: It is used as brominating agent in printing and dyeing industry, participating in the synthesis reaction of certain dyes, helping to regulate the process of the reaction and the performance of the products, and also used in the dyeing and printing process of fabrics to improve the dyeing effect and increase the utilization rate of dyes.
3. Other fields: Participating in the bromination reaction of some organic compounds.
