Sodium Polyaspartate (PASP) is widely used as a scale inhibitor and corrosion inhibitor in various water treatment fields, such as the salt manufacturing industry, oilfield reinjection water, seawater desalination, drilling fluid viscosity reducer, industrial circulating water, boiler water, reverse osmosis water, coal-water slurry additives, etc. It performs excellently in systems with high hardness, high alkalinity, high pH, high concentration multiple, and high temperature.

 

Application Scenarios

 

1. Phosphorus-free scale inhibitor and corrosion inhibitor. As a scale inhibitor, it is particularly suitable for inhibiting the formation of calcium carbonate scale, calcium sulfate scale, etc. in cooling water, boiler water, and reverse osmosis treatment. As a corrosion inhibitor, it can be compounded with oxidized starch, organic phosphorus, zinc salts, etc. respectively to achieve a better corrosion inhibition effect.
2. Green washing aid. Due to its green and environmentally friendly characteristics, it can be used as a new type of detergent and daily chemical aid, as well as an additive for various non-toxic and pollution-free special fine chemicals.
3. Agricultural applications. It can serve as a fertilizer synergist, soil conditioner, wetting agent, and nutrient absorption enhancer, promoting the absorption of phosphorus by plants and the growth of plant roots. It can prevent the scaling of drip irrigation pipes, relieve soil compaction, and improve soil salinity.
4. Water treatment in oilfield exploitation. PASP can form a chelating effect with metal ions such as calcium, magnesium, copper, and iron, and adhere to the metal surface of the container to prevent metal corrosion.
5. Environmental protection dispersant. Sodium Polyaspartate has dispersion and chelating properties. It can be used as a pigment dispersant (for dye treatment in textile printing and dyeing) and a coal-water slurry dispersant, etc.
